We are officially three days from the Nike Women’s weekend. I can’t believe it’s already here! This weekend, I will join 30,000 other women who wish to challenge themselves in the hills of San Francisco with the Nike Women’s Marathon and Half Marathon. Furthermore, this marks the 10th anniversary from the first race so Nike is going all out from creating speciality sportswear to also presenting a one-of-kind custom trunk to celebrate the nearly quarter million women worldwide who have run the race since it’s inception. I know I can’t WAIT for the event and to see all the cool stuff that’s been created specifically for the weekend (sorry in advance, bank account!)
As for training for the week, at this point, all that will be done pre-race has been done. This week is about maintaining all the work that has been put in so far.
Monday – Easy 5k
Tuesday – 5 mile tempo
Wednesday – Last bit of cross training. Yoga time!
Thursday – REST
Friday – REST
Saturday – Casual, easy 2 mile run and 20 minutes of solid active stretching
Sunday – RACE DAY!!!
